A variation of functional protocols are used to enable the high-quality delivery of multi-play service packages over wireless broadband networks, including IP-CS (IP convergence sub-layer (IP-CS) or Ethernet convergence sub-layer (ETH-CS) over IEEE 802.16e to deliver data.
An advanced scheduling mechanism is used to support the delivery of multi-play applications, including an eRT scheduling mechanism to deliver Voice, and MCBCS ( Multicast and Broadcast Services) for video applications, and a Proportional Fair scheduler for optimizing sector performance of non-committed traffic. |
